Enrichment Program
Due to the extended hours of our school day, KIPP Bridge is able to provide students with enrichment classes, such as physical education, performing and visual arts, music and fashion design. These classes enable our students to become more well-rounded individuals who shine in and out of the traditional classroom setting.
Physical Education Program: 5th – 8th grade
- Students participate in team-building and cooperative games
- Students learn basic skills in soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, and baseball
- Boys and girls in 7th/8th Grade can play on the Basketball and Soccer Teams
Visual Art Program: 5th – 8th grade
- Lessons are based on California Visual Arts Standards and reinforce concepts that are taught in core academic classes
- Annual Exhibition highlights student work
Performing Arts Program: 6th grade
- 6th grade Theater class integrates the California Language Arts standards into daily lessons by reinforcing the skills of reading, fluency and comprehension as well as narrative writing and oral presentation skills.
- In the past, our Theater Program has produced several original plays and CDs with songs written, performed and produced by the students.

Music Program: 5th – 8th Grade
- 5th grade students have the opportunity to participate in music classes, which focus on singing and school spirit.
- Students in 5th – 8th grade may participate in an After School Strings program in which they receive instruction in string instruments.
Fashion Design Program: 6th-8th Grade
- The fashion design class is an intense study of fashion design and textile design.
- Students explore the history and cultural influences in fashion.
- The students learn pattern making skills, basic hand stitching, fabric dying methods, textile design, and how to use the basic home sewing machine.
